ThAAA Annual Education Day and Annual General Meeting
The Therapy Assistant Association of Alberta (ThAAA) prepares and hosts an annual Education Day Conference for all TA’s (Association and no-Association TA’s) to help support both professional development, as well as to provide TA’s an opportunity to network with other Alberta, and Canadian, TA’s and to become better informed of and made aware of new developments in the professional sphere (e.g. the issue of regulation and licencing) of Therapy Assistants, not only in Alberta, but also Canada-wide.
Congruent to the Annual Education Day, ThAAA also holds its Annual General Meeting in order to make Association members aware of, and vote on, important issues including officer elections, financial status and, when, approved, changes to the By-Laws.
The Annual ED/AGM is held in the late Spring (last week of April/first week of May), typically from a Friday evening to Saturday evening or Sunday morning, depending year-to-year.
Early in the new year, the ThAAA Promotions Committee will confirm the dates, locations and list of speakers for the AGM/ED and will distribute a conference program to Association members and affiliated organizations informing them not only of the dates, time and location for the conference, but also the Keynote Presenter and topic, session-descriptions available for attendance, as well as a registration form.
2023 AGM is held virtual on May.24th and ThAAA plans to host a hybrid event to celebrates TA’S : the third week of September.
